Into the bay we sailed. Wind so intense it could capsize the unprepared sailor; I was greeted to the Dominican Republic.

Exploring Toulon, France with Class Afloat

After a short sail from Sardinia, we arrived in Toulon. Excited and anxious to explore Toulon, we had to wait a full day at the dock. As the anticipation grew that night, we had the port presentation that was presented to us by the French class. Steve then explained to us all the wonderful port programs that we were going to do.

The crew sailed from Porto on October 1st with Porto Cervo in our headway. We’ve passed through the Straight of Gibraltar and right next to the coast of Spain, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Minorca.

After more than two weeks spent adjusting to life at sea, ship routines, galley duties, night watches, new classes and scheduling, Class Afloat students arrived in Porto on the morning of September 26th and were thrilled to plant their feet on solid ground.
