Class Afloat accepts applications year round from qualified secondary teachers and crew. We generally conclude our hiring in March of each year for the following school year . If your resume and qualifications are aligned with assignment vacancies, you will be contacted for an interview. Due to the high volume of applications received we are not able to interview all candidates.
Class Afloat is currently seeking qualified Senior faculty to join the ship for our upcoming 2018-2019 school year starting in Amsterdam on September 10, 2017. Daily stipend, flights, health coverage, gear issue, accommodation, and food are all included.

Now hiring - able seaman (starting mid-march, 2018 and ending may 31, 2018)
Class Afloat is looking for an Able Seaman to join the crew of the STS Gulden Leeuw for part of the 2nd Semester of the 2017-2018 academic year beginning mid March, 2018 in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica and disembarking on May 31, 2018 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The Gulden Leeuw is one of the world's largest three-mast-topsail schooners. Class Afloat offers students the opportunity to study High School and University courses while sailing a tall ship.
The AB must hold a valid STCW-95 and medical, with at least 1 year experience as an AB/deckhand on a comparable vessel. AB certification an asset.
