That’s right! Our crew is BACK in Bremerhaven - the 📍home sweet home of the @alexandervhumboldt2! After an incredible SEVEN MONTHS at 🌊 sea 🌊 our time on the ship has come to an end 😭 BUT with every ending, there is a new beginning, and our faculty and students are gearing up for a whole new adventure! 🚌 Since 2021, our travel itinerary started to incorporate more visits to mainland countries - this year, our students are looking forward to visiting Switzerland 🇨🇭, France 🇫🇷, and Spain 🇪🇸. We can’t wait to share this new adventure with you! 💙

pov: a week in cuba 🇨🇺

Our floaties enjoyed everything Cuba had to offer! From walking tours, where our host even served us up a roast dinner on our last night, to a chance encounter of an Afro-Cuban song and dance group at the Museum of Carnival, to a deep dive into Cuba’s coffee, cigar and rum culture, and even some serenading in the streets by a local troubadour, who were hear is quite the Cuban celebrity! Weaving and winding down the beautiful streets of Cuba with its vintage cars is a memory we’ll keep forever! Now, it’s off to the next port! ⛵️

Fourteen years ago today, on February 17th 2010, the SV Concordia sank just over 300 nautical miles off the coast of Brazil (all crew followed procedure; there were no casualties). The Concordia was built in 1992 and served in tall ship sail training for a number of years before she capsized. Thank you to the past crew community for providing us with some of their favourite memories and photos from the ship.

Climb on board to chat with our Head of School, faculty, floaties and crew while exploring the @alexandervhumboldt2! In just a few short weeks, we will be alongside Front Street near the Hamilton Harbour! 🇧🇲 Did you know, the Alexander von Humboldt II has been sailing the high seas since 2011. Like its predecessor Alexander von Humboldt, the Alex-2 is a civilian squarerigger offering tall ship voyages for everyone, regardless of previous experience. 💚

Our crew has arrived in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! 🇩🇴 The Dominican Republic port is always a special port for floaties and crew! It’s the port where our service learning project is brought to fruition 🏠. Between home stays and local hands-on projects, our students truly embrace the idea of global citizenship and social responsibility.
